Napoli vs Torino tickets for the Serie A 2024/2025 season are on sale on Visitfootball.
Napoli is not as big as other high-profile clubs in Italy, but the Partenopei are one of the most beloved clubs in the country. The club has strong roots in the city of Naples, with fans always taking pride in everything the club has achieved over the years, especially during the golden era when Diego Maradona became a national sensation.
The Argentine moved to Napoli from FC Barcelona in the summer of 1984, joining a team that had never won any European or league titles. The superstar playmaker was arguably the best player in the world at the time, and he almost singlehandedly turned the club’s fortunes, helping the club to an eighth-place position in his first season at the club. The following season proved progressive, as Napoli finished third, with the fans staying hopeful that success was just somewhere lurking.
The breakthrough campaign came in the 1986/87 season, Diego Maradona’s third at the club. Napoli won a league title for the first time in history and became the only Mainlan Southern Italy club to do so. That same campaign, the Partenopei beat Atalanta 4-0 in the Coppa Italia final to claim a double, with Diego Maradona playing a pivotal role in that successful campaign.
The incredible run continued into the next season, as Napoli’s failed European Cup fueled a second-place finish in the Serie A, which earned the club a spot in the UEFA Cup for the following season. The club beat bigger clubs like Bayern Munich, VFB Stuttgart, and Juventus. The Maradona-led team beat Stuttgart over both legs of the UEFA Cup final to lift Napoli’s first European trophy.
Three years after the first Scudetto, Napoli won the league title again in 1990, but with more strange instances. The club was involved in an on-pitch scandal, leading to a two-point deduction. However, this did not hurt Napoli’s title run, as Milan lost against Hellas Verona to crown the Partenopei champions for the second time in the club’s history.
Torino is historically a better team than Napoli. The club dominated Italian football between the 1920s and 1940s, winning seven league titles, including five straight. That team that won so much is widely regarded in Italian football as one of the greatest teams to come out of Italy. Sadly, this run came to an end after the Superga air disaster that killed the entire team. Despite this, Torino won its fifth Coppa Italia title in the 1992/93 season, just one year after reaching the UEFA Cup final.

Napoli failed to defend its Scudetto title last season, no thanks to the club’s inconsistencies. Torino didn’t lose a single game against the Partenopei in the previous campaign, winning and drawing one. Their first encounter ended in a 3-0 loss for the defending champions, but they managed to gain one point in the second leg, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Kvicha Kvaratskhelia scored the opener to put the hosts ahead, but Torino scored an equalizer three minutes later through Sanabria. The match ended in a stalemate. Napoli is more potent this season, with Antonio Conte leading the team to the top of the table, so this will be a challenging game for Torino.
You wake up on a matchday feeling all excited. This is one of the biggest games in the Italian Serie A this season, so you must be mentally and physically prepared.
We advise getting to the match venue two hours ahead of schedule. This will give you enough time to prepare for the game by participating in pre-game rituals like visiting a local pub for drinks, trying Italian cuisine, or heading to the club’s store to shop for merchandise.
Italy is known for having passionate football fans, so this will be fun for you. Cheer your team on loudly from the stands. Sing the players’ names to show your support to the team. Regardless of the result, the experience will stay with you forever.
Do not forget to document your journey. Take pictures and videos of yourself watching the game.
